Bad circumstances, but he would be a very welcomed addition to the forum. I wonder if he's putting together a proof date run. If he has the 1895, I bet that one is in the bank vault.

The original quote was fine. "gifting" is acceptable when used as a noun, as is "going to gift something to someone".

Actually, it is not acceptable --- at any level of English.

911 call reporting burglary: 'This is Rob Gronkowski'

    https://youtu.be/WKXc-PP0B-A

    http://www.foxnews.com/us/2018/02/06/cops-home-patriots-gronk-robbed-during-super-bowl-week.html

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski can be heard on a 911 call calmly telling a dispatcher that his home was burglarized while he was at the Super Bowl.

Police in Foxborough, Massachusetts, released a portion of the call on Tuesday.

He can be heard telling the dispatcher on Monday: "This is Rob Gronkowski calling, and while I was gone my whole house got robbed, while on the Super Bowl trip. And I just got back."

A police report says someone broke a window to get in. In a Broadcastify.com recording of a call between responding officers and dispatch, a dispatcher says "multiple safes and possible guns" were taken.

The police report redacted all details of what was taken.

The report says Gronkowski lives with two roommates, both of whom reported items stolen.

**This story has been corrected to show a police dispatcher said "possible" guns instead of "possibly" guns.

That is a shame..... I do find it extremely negligent though, not to have the home properly secured, and in his case, guarded. Certainly an expense he may willingly pay in the future. Hindsight = 20/20. Cheers, RickO

...he should have picked up some of the street-smarts from the other tight-end before he went gone...nothing like an extra safe-house just to store the good stuff in...no man should party hard with strangers (of any form) inside an environment where they openly store valuables...that's all ;)

Gee. Point made. Yes, Gronk should have prepared for his absence a little better.

    Double negative.

His team also lost the Super Bowl.
