1970 s penny ...DDO ?or again nothing ..tx

    There are oodles of DDO's associated with the 1970-S so I'm not sure what all is going on here. The date spread shift suggests 'ejection' doubling so I'm leaning in that direction.

    Mechanical Doubling. When you find the big one, you'll know it.

    Machine doubling... keep looking..... the real ones are out there, but if they were easy to find, they would not be worth a premium. Good luck, Cheers, RickO

    In 1970 mintmarks were applied to the dies by hand after the die was made, so if you have doubling on the date AND mintmark, It's a sure bet that you have MDD.
