Received my 2018 coin today and was surprised that the coin looks way better then the pictures I have seen from the mint.

Good job, nicely blown up photo! This is a really small coin too. Isn't it a little smaller than a dime? Looking good, now there's a couple silver coins, 5 silver medals, and now gold! Makes for a nice little collection!

I read an article from a coin catalog that it was the same gold blank as the 2008 $5 Gold Buffalo. Could someone verify? Thanks.

By the way, I received mine too. This is the only size in gold that I could afford right now with a kid in college. I wish a have the patience to wait for the price to go down. I bought the silver one when they first came out from USMint full price, earlier this week I bought another silver from eBay seller for $21 less.

Very nice.... I bought the silver coin when issued as a gift for a friend.... she loves it....and I find it an attractive design - yes, everyone talks about the large stars, however, overall, I find it to be a very nice coin. In gold, it is even better. Cheers, RickO

@MilesWaits not sure it’s worth grading these but I buy direct from mint. I looked at this under my scope it’s a 70. Can’t imagine any will grade less. I don’t holder these. But perhaps if Gold hits a bottom I will pick more up in holders later. Thanks

Kkathyl: I like the way they look in the holders, easier to handle and for me easier to view so it is worth the wait knowing that these tend to drop in price particularly with the higher mintage.
I have some raw Mercury dime gold and I prefer it in the PCGS holder.
