Receptacle blocked..... US Post joke

bestdaybestday Posts: 4,242 ✭✭✭✭

Waiting for a 4 pc set of Gold eagles last week to arrive ..but 13 inches of snow falls over 6 days .... P.O. Branch all but closes down ,with no deliveries at P.O. branch
Now the tracking still says the same thing for last 7 days receptacle blocked .. meaning my package a goner
Any get a receptacle blocked message in tracking ... no.. nothing at the house would cause that message

If your mailbox is on the street it could mean that they were unable to pull up next to it.
Maybe too much snow in the way?

If your mailbox is at the door trying shoveling the snow.

Neither less than 13 inches of snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds.

There should be a law that coin deliveries are made no matter what and the USPS should have a 4x4 at every office for this purpose.

Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.

My first thought was that @bestday has a P.O. Box...that would be a hoot! A snow blocked Post Office Box.

Neither are news organizations. They both do a disservice to our Country.

Both are indeed news organizations. One needs to differentiate between the hard news reporting and the commentary/opinions presented which is not unlike the editorial pages of the newspaper.

Are you in an area that normally gets snow?

Do you live in New York? If so, perhaps Newman is your mail carrier. I heard he doesn't even work in the rain...

13 inches of snow in 6 days? Must not be in the north anywhere! That’s just a minor inconvenience here.

One of the several reasons I have a PO Box - I live in a rural area and my road is one of the last to be plowed.

Yeah, this is what I get when my postal critter gives up delivering packages for the day:

I've gotten this a couple of times. I've never quite figured out what "no access" means when your front door faces the street...

I was waiting on a very important package and it came up as parcel delivery box blocked. There was a 3rd party delivery truck parked in front of the boxes.

...but they're all loaded from the back...
