Sale of Bruce's hall of fame seated dollar set is an amazing thing that I never thought would happen. None finer.

I feel that I’ve accomplished all I set out to do in numismatics and then some. Sold my Seated and trade dollars. Still have my early dollars tho.

I think a lot of coins would have sold for more and a few big ones might have sold for less. I’m fine with it

Congrats to all parties involved. I was surprised this thread wasn’t getting many comments. From a novice perspective, it has been very good to see those involved posting about previous acquisitions and their perspective...something many of us don’t get to see or read about every day. Thanks TDN, Dell Loy and DLRC for posting here in the past.

I am very happy for both TDN and DLH. Consider the commitment that it takes to collect a set of Top pops, and best of all time. I am very surprised at this transaction, but TDN will always be known as a great builder of collections and DLH should be respected a a collector of the best coins. Both deserve a lot of respect.

I was fortunate enough to be able to acquire Bruce's chop marked Trade Dollars. That said, I am sorry that Bruce is getting out of the Trade Dollar game. HIs collection was second to none and he was one of the giants in that particular numismatic field. I hope he sticks around.

The seated $ collection was simply an amazing accomplishment. Desire, money, resources, timing, etc., met. Bruce and I can finally agree that I own a better 1866! His reject. -)

I saw this collection at the ANA in Anaheim....incredible set of coins....I know it's not the rarest coin in the collection,
but the 1872-S ex. Jack Lee coin was my favorite piece...

Hey Bruce, I was curious- Since I know you rejected some higher graded coins to keep what you believed were nicer lower grade specimens-are there any coins in the seated dollar set that you feel could be upgraded to a better coin? in other words, are there any coins that you know of that you wish you could have had instead but because of one reason or another you missed the opportunity (or it never presented itself)?
