    Convective heat transfer is dependent on time. His contact with the molten metal only lasts for an extremely short time.

    Yep... what Bayard said.... When I was a pipefitter on submarines, used to watch electricians draw a spark with their fingertip from high voltage lines.... negligible current, so no damage - well, except for a tiny pinprick black spot on their finger. Cheers, RickO
