I know the details don't look sharp and maybe the depth isn't there but I cant even begin to guess if it's lighting, picture quality, or actually the coin. Kudos seriously if you can determine from those images. I hope to have that skill one day.

Wooooha! Did someone just say it's officially "TACO™" Tuesday????
Based on those pictures, I would not have bid on the coin. That being said, it would be difficult for me to ascertain authenticity from those pictures. Agreed, it does not look 'real', which, added to the fact that they are poor pictures and not enough pictures, is enough to walk on by. I think the winner has been scammed. Cheers, RickO

I agree that the whole coin is a fake

You all are good. I can't even barely see the coin from the pictures let alone tell if its fake or not. Do you think it's gold?
This is a well documented fake. The easiest giveaway is that the mintmark isn't the right shape.

In my opinion, a dealer such as this, based on their longevity on Ebay since 2005 and over 100,000 feedback, not only knows about PCGS, they also know that getting a coin such as this graded by PCGS, would add a lot of value to this coin.
I get what everyone is saying about the mint mark but I can barely see the mintmark in any of the posted pictures. Guess the lesson here, for me at least, never buy a coin from a picture.

I think some sellers on eBay purposely show poorly executed pictures when they suspect that a coin is fake, cleaned, or has other issues that they are trying to hide.

The coin is a die struck counterfeit.
You have to be a glutton for punishment to buy this coin raw from a jewelry dealer off Ebay.
Frankly, I wouldn't buy this coin raw from a coin dealer either, or anyone else.
yikes.
I agree that the whole coin is a fake
Not enough time to get it pulled. Sold $833.

Enough said.
Is this a counterfeit made in Lebanon in the 60s and the 70s?
Here are the photos for posterity.
Speaking for myself... this is just one reason I don't buy raw coins.
Most definitely..............I thought the very same thing.

Here's a CoinFacts image to compare the "S" Mintmark:
No raw gold for me...ever ever.
I buy hundreds of raw gold indians every year. Scored some pretty nice coins this way!
