Dimeman's (AKA 35centman) STL short & sweet show report.

I arrived at the show my usual time about a half hour early. The first thing I realized is that I had left home without my glass. I had never done that before.....ever! Then I found out that the guy who sell supplies at the show didn't make it because of weather. So I'm thing it sure is going to be hard looking for varieties without a glass! Well one of my buddies from Springfield let me borrow his for the day. WOW...day saved. The first table I hit right inside the door was Nomad Numismatics. Mike (MorganDollar1878) had 2 Washie varieties he was holding for me which I picked up. These were the 1957 and 1962 Ty B Rev's in 66 and 65. He then asked if I had the 1963 Ty B, which I didn't so I bought it too! :) We talked for a while then I hit the rest of the tables. By lunch time I had seen pretty much everything. I also had a nice long talk with my good friend and dealer Pat Sullivan from Iowa. I saw a nice 1938-S Washie in a 64 OGH that I liked and noted to check it out again after lunch. I had lunch with the "gang from Springfield that belong to the club up there that I am still a member of (I moved 90 miles South) after retiring. We have going to shows together for probably 40 years. After lunch I stopped by Mike's table again and noticed he had a 38-S Quarter in 65. I liked the looks of it and for not much more that the 64 was quoted to me I picked up a 65. Then Mike knowing I liked toning said did the see the 53-S up in the corner and there was one of the most beautiful 53-S Washies in 66. So I had to get that too. :) I wondered around the rest of the afternoon and didn't find another thing I needed or wanted or could afford. I did see a lovely 1932-D in 64, but just didn't have the cash with me.

So the "Dimeman" went to a show and walked out with 5 Washies and "NO" Dimes!! :o Pluss I got all % from the same dealer at table #4.

So Mike....you made my day! He even bought a couple of coins I was selling....thanks Mike.

That's my show.....I went home a happy camper...although I would have liked to add that 32-D to my Washie collection. :/

Thanks for the show report. I was going to attend but our daughter was sick when she got home from school on Tuesday. I did not feel right going to a show when she was sick.

    Nice report.

Nice seeing you and talking for a bit. Thanks for the purchases, I know they are in a good home. I am honored to be the monopoly for your Washington purchases for your trip but it's too bad you weren't able to get the 32-D. Don't fret not being able to get one, there are many good examples out there so take your time with those.

Sounds like a great show even though there were no dimes for The Dimeman. Thanks for posting the experience.

The whole worlds off its rocker, buy Gold™.
