I didn't see any auctioned coins fall through the cracks tonight.

Perhaps the Super Bowl night selling pox is a myth.

I typically do my income tax return on Super Bowl Sunday and then buy something nice in anticipation of my refund (usually a decent amount).

Got nipped on about 8 auctions tonight.

I was watching 2 auctions that ended during the Super Bowl and they both seemed to go well.

There were some cheap prices on more expensive coins-many did not hit old prices. Depends on what you were watching. Only the big auctions do well.

I bought a coin during the Super Bowl for $180 after it sat for a while at $229 OBO.
I thought I'd start lower and work my way up, but they bit my first offer, so I can't complain.

    Later, Paul.

The one coin I bid on tonight, at four times PCGS retail, sold for more than that!

It believe that this was the last night for Heritage Sunday Night auctions.

Plenty of coins do not hit old prices. I didn't see any lag for sellers on Ebay or GC attributed to the football game compared to results on a less attention drawing evening.

We saw more bidders than usual last night (which is typical for holiday or holiday-type auctions). Coin market is definitely getting stronger.

    What a game last night!!!!

It's encouraging to think that coin people aren't stupefied by a football game. :)

I looked a bit on ebay....did not see any opportunities I could not live without.....Years ago, situations like this or auctions ending on a big holiday, were full of good deals....sellers seem to have better planning now. Cheers, RickO

One of my auctions sold for 50% of what I paid for it two weeks ago. Someone got a good deal.
