How do you ship silver-larger bars etc?

How do you ship multiple 100oz silver bars and the weight of maybe 3-5 of them? Can you ship this stuff via priority mail, fedex 1-2 day, can you use shiny brown tape etc. How do you or how would you recommend shipping this stuff?
Inquiring minds etc

I've shipped single 100 ounce bars in a padded mailer inside a flat rate priority mail envelope with private insurance with no problems, multiples in mailers and or bubble wrap inside a medium flat rate or regional A priority mail box. Others experiences may vary.
edited to say I received a message that this didn't post so sorry about the duplicate info.

You can tape the edges of a flat rate priority box with brown tape and ship that box 'registered'. You pay the flat rate for postage plus the 'registered' fee. I use that paper tape that you have to wet.
I use a LOT of brown tape. I do not ship silver, I ship iron and steel (car parts) and a USPS large flat rate box can easily weigh upwards of 70 pounds (which is the limit) full of hardware, etc.
When really heavy, I inner bag the stuff in those recyclable cloth grocery bag things, tape it shut, then in the USPS box, and totally wrap the box in brown tape, and print off a label and away it goes.
When I ship heavy items, I usually use UPS..... although Fedex has also worked well. I tend not to use the Post Office for these items. Cheers, RickO
Question....why the brown tape vs. clear plastic? Just curious...

To ship registered, via the post office rules, the brown paper tape will rip if tampered with. GOOD LUCK finding the brown paper tape though.
They also have to be able to stamp every tape line.
I had to order from McMaster-Carr.

Thanks for the info regarding the paper tape. I saw on the site above that they sell 'tamper evident' tape...I wish the Mint would use something like that on their shipments! I have had a couple arrive short...

Hmm, fedex will pick up so off they go via fedex

Coincidentally...... (or not) the 70 lb USPS limit is ...jusssssttttt... enough for a Comex 1000 oz "good delivery" bar.
Gone via fedex, now hope the dang thing doesn't break open. 3 boxes then squeezed into a large fedex box which tore at the seams and then completely taped up and in the fedex truck. What a pita then again I guess if you ship boxes of silver all day long you gotta be in good shape after a while

correction, 2 boxes ( a box in a box ) then squeezed into a fedex box. Twas a little less than 4 inches to squeeze which is why the fedex box then needed surgery

May the force be with you Tom !
FedEx drivers are boobs.
After waiting ALL DAY yesterday for a package, I find a note on the door that the recipient wasn't available.
Sposed to "try" again today.
I have the door plastered with notes.
Hope the driver can read.
The security ink stamp won't smear if you use the correct kind of brown tape.
You can usually get it at Staples.
Parcel post insured.
I wish...only receive the blank stare. They have paper tape, but it is not THE paper tape specified by post office. The correct type, must have water applied. This type of paper tape will show tampering if any attempt is made to open.
That's not what their websites says. My local store has 3 rolls in stock.

They also have this but you may need to order it.

Staples has it but it's in a different spot in the store than all the other tape.
THANK YOU! Will check again.
You're most welcome.

I get mine from Patco Tapes. They are actually a manufacturer in NYC.
I would double box them and ship priority. That is what my dealer policy would allow on that. Signature required, insured by my insurance.
