Good Vibes to the Van Allens, please

One of the nicest couples of numismatics you'll ever meet, Leroy and Marilyn Van Allen, are having a bit of a rough winter. Marilyn recently had a fall and together with other health issues, she is currently bedridden. All of Leroy's time and energy is going into taking care of her, the dogs, and all the household chores. Their family is currently too busy to help them out much, and his passion for looking at collectors' coins, updating the VAM catalog, and continually producing new articles and monographs is having to take a back seat, which is taking a toll on their spirits. They're both in their 80s, so recovery and healing doesn't come quickly. Send good thoughts, vibes, and/or prayers their way. If you'd like to send a card, contact me for a mailing address.

I remember reading a Coin World article in the early 1990s about their research into Buffalo nickel varieties, just as I was getting back into collecting. It probably was one of the major reasons I decided to specialize in the series and in Buffalo varieties. Best wishes to both.
