False.
"Omega" is the name of an alphabetical character. It is not subject to copyright except within a specific font design.
Of course, I was kidding - as you know from the other (unnamed) thread where it was claimed that putting an omega on a counterfeit means it is no longer a counterfeit.
That said, while you can't copyright "omega", you can trademark a particular representation of "omega".

Not sure if you can copyright a lark....or if a lark is added to a counterfeit can that make it un-counterfeit...... Hmmm, so many thoughts for my little bird brain.

Has anyone considered whether it's not an Omega, but a headless lark?

I heard a lark,
In the park,
Where I frolicked,
For a lark...
When is a lark not a lark? When it is an activity and not a bird.... Oh well, I better go do something else, my mind seems to be on a lark... Cheers, RickO

The omega mark circumvents counterfeiting laws. So if you counterfeit the anti-counterfeiting mark isn't the coin counterfeit again?

Time to go over to the larkside.
That's why I add an ever smaller omega to the small omega, so I'm not legally counterfeiting a counterfeit. Problem solved.
