I just got in two very cool PCGS mint error coins. One is for my personal collection which I have not added to (only subtracted from) recently. The other is just a nice coin that matches my other 1964 nickel errors.

Wow! Neat error coins.
So would the cent be slabbed as
1962D/1962D?
Thx for sharing.
Labeled as Double Struck Rotated in Collar
Nice errors!
nice, I'd like to have them

Very interesting.... just amazes me how many of these are out there.... Cheers, RickO
3 strikes and your out. Looks like the nickel struck out, I am sure it went down swinging.
Super cool coins!
Somewhat related question...
To keep track of mintage numbers, does the Mint count number of strikes of the presses or is there some sort of counting mechanism everything goes through after striking?
In other words: Does that cent count as two out of the mintage or just one? Does that nickel count as 3? Does a die clashing event count as 1 coin minted?

This might be a stupid question, but is this nickel here a 1964? I am reading your comment to mean that it is, but I don't see a date. (I do see from the portrait that it is an older date.)
BTW - great strike on that cent - the first date ended up in a place where the 2nd strike left it very legible.
Yes, this is a no date nickel, BUT, if you know major nickel errors, 1964 was a big year for them and they all have the same look. I will post some examples later when I get time. Busy in Photoshop all day working on work.
Nice couple of errors! Very cool.
Wow, spectacular! I particularly like the cent!
Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.
Very cool errors!
Both very impressive. In the case of the Jeff. you can never go wrong with 3 for the price on 1.
