My half dimes are happy: new macro lens

I own a Canon SX-40 point-and-shoot camera, which is just super for shooting landscapes, people, and (especially) wildlife due to its 35x optical zoom. If you like birdwatching, this camera is great for zoom photography. However, it is not the greatest for coins, and it's incapable of shooting half dimes in particular due to the large lens, which blocks incoming light. This is not an expensive camera; it cost me under $350 and it's 5 years old.
I recently found out there is a "clip-on" macro lens available from Raynox, the DCR-250, which is available for the princely sum of about $65. It had good reviews online, so I finally bought one. Well, I think this lens is going to be my favorite coin-related purchase of 2018! Photo below was taken with two crappy desk lamps for lighting and a flimsy WalMart tripod. I can't wait to see what I can do with this setup once I actually get some experience. Hope this thread helps someone who might like to get a (relatively) cheap macro setup for coins.
P.S., The coin is PCGS MS65, old blue holder, submitted (by me) in 2006 or so.

Nice photos. I'll have to check out that macro lens. I bought a clip on lens set (for like 20 bucks) and they work okay, but have their limitations. Maybe an upgrade is in order.
