1944-P Walker no AW initials???

Came across this 1944-P without designer initials. I know of other years that exhibit this over polish condition. But I can not find anything for 1944-P. Anyone seen one of these or know of a value? T

I have not seen one, although I can't say that I have looked for one.
Walker varieties are a tough sell though.
They are out there. Because I'm not well versed with the intricacies of the Series, I can't say which dates and Mints exhibit this.
The designers initials (A with an under W) are raised on the die, meaning they are incuse on the coin. When a die is taken out of service and reworked because of clash marks, etc, the person has to be careful to not remove, or grind off, design elements.
It happens, and in the case of your Walker, while "abrading" the die, the raised (on the die) initials were ground off.
Careless..........but like I said.............

There are some other dates that are missing the AW including the 1918-D. Unfortunately, WLH varieties seem to fall under the radar for most collectors. I remain surprised that because this series is popular... and there are some significant varieties such as the 1946 DDR. There is still hope these varieties will emerge as the final frontier for the WLH series.

I'm just wondering how rare a 1944-P no AW really is, since I can not find any info of this variation anywhere....and can not find one offered anywhere.
Another indicator of polished dies is the weakness/absence of the feather located just above the eagle's right claw, running parallel to the eagle's right leg.
