Wonderful ‘77. Looks darn solid for the grade, too. Nice work!

Let 'em sink...........Doesn't stop me from wanting them big time. Another storied coin....and the OP coin is really nice for the grade.

What a coin is worth means NOTHING to me. I want it because of what it is. Buying it at a lower price is just icing on the cake.

Get 'em while they're hot!...........or not?

    Why have they fallen?

There are quite a few of these in fine or lower floating around and those buyers have thinned out.

I know Mr Snow mentioned that there are many overgraded coins out there in the EF-AU range that are hurting that end of the market.

Very nice. When I see a key date in this type of condition, I always think what fun it must've been to find it in circulation -- for this coin, probably around 1915 or so.

Very nice IHC.... has seen some commerce.... I totally agree with @BuffaloIronTail ...the value is not important.. the coin is the objective. Cheers, RickO

When my son was born in 1963, to celebrate ( :D) I bought an 1877 for my ...NATIONAL coin board.... :D
I wanted one ever since I had started pestering the grocery stores for Lincolns to search.
As I recall (I have NO idea what I ever did with it) it was thin on one side, pitted, and ...I...made sure it got regular cleanings. :*
I do remember it was fifty bucks.
And THIS coin is what I always wanted.
I've had higher grades and sold em but there was just something about THIS one that struck my fancy. And I got one tough fancy. ;)

I like your coin a lot. For some crazy reason, I keep this circulated 1858 pattern on my ebay watch list, even though I will never buy it at that price. But it would make a nice pair with your 1877  ....

Hold it, toppie, is this the coin you have been waiting for since, like, last year? >:)

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

Grrrrr..... Had the result been less than expected, I would have been pissed. :D
