Started one of these for reddit a while back and figured I'd post it here too in case people want to join. It's a pretty active but still somewhat small community of about 30-40 people who regularly chat about coins with no particular focus. There's a very diverse base of users as well, everything from broke kids to high-end US type collectors.

Discord is essentially a chat room that opens in your browser, and also has a phone app. You can post pics, link videos, sites, etc. There's even a voice chat. It's a really great, fully featured application. It's very similar to IRC, if any of you ever used that, but, in my opinion, better.
If you've got questions, ask away. I've been using Discord for over a year now, so I think I got most of the basics down.

I usually avoid chat rooms because people can see I'm an idiot in real time there.

My Navy buddies and I use a live video chat room (zoom) and meet once a week to talk and reminisce ...I like the ability for us to see and chat real time....Cheers, RickO

Bump- I'm an active participant in the discord as well. A handful of others from here are too.
I use discord in my gaming....being able to talk in real time with my partner in Kentucky makes life miserable for the barbarian hordes
