Well no one has a crystal ball but lets make some coin predications or should I say guesses for 2018.
1- More Million dollar coins will sell in 2018 over any other year.
2- Summer ANA will have a huge increase in attendance over the past several years.
3- Original coins with high Eye Appeal will increase in value and demand.
4- Bust coinage will be in strong demand.
5- Bit coin will decrease to $10 per coin then increase again.
6- Several large collections will hit the auction block.

Yours?

More 2018 coins will be minted this year than any other. I guarantee it!

Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.

Some will rise in value, other will stay the same or lose value.

There will be some funky action in those WWI silver medals.

I'm not expecting a sell out, but there could be.

Maybe I missed it, but I can't see why the mintages won't be very lopsided - some service will end up with many fewer medals that the others.

When that is known, then somebody may hit a nice lick.

If I've misunderstood something, please correct me before I throw my money in the ditch!

Inflation will go up big time so the coin price should be up as well.

The GreySheet will start putting a symbol next to all the coins I have just bought. Look for it on the next issue right after I buy a coin. The symbol can be found right in front of the dollar value for my coin and grade and looks like this - , all others next to it will have + signs.

Them nice pieces will be harder to get as the national unemployment rate is down to 4.1% and that is effectively full employment. With this and rising stock prices discretionary spending on collectibles will increase pushing the really rare nice coins up but the generic stuff still has no sail to catch these tail winds.

One other thing . The Astros will repeat as they have unloaded the mullets in the bull pin and have the rest of the team in place.

Sorry PGL - while I agree with the coin predication, your baseball predications are off - NY Yanks will rule in 2018 and beyond!

I agree with you on all but the Bitcoin. For some reason that silly thing keeps its value remarkably. And wastes so much electricity in the process...

@EastonCollection Predicating is not the same as predicting. :)

I predict I will purchase a few coins...Fire a substantial amount of ammunition...and explore one new cave system in the area. I am really bad at predicting other people's future or the future of markets or nations. Cheers, RickO

There will be a tightening of qualifications for what is being sought by collectors with money. Coins that meet those qualifications will do well as more money flows to the upper income segment of the population. Coins that don't meet the new qualifications will become difficult to sell at anything but big discounts. The coin market will continue to age and this will have a negative effect on prices at all levels.

Be selective in your purchases, very selective. If in doubt, pass.

    All glory is fleeting.

Don't think so. Stros have beafed up their bull pen as a the very best players want to join a championship team and more have. Last year was not a good season for the Yanks to play the Astros both regular and post season.

I'll reinforce the perspective that the bifrication of the coin market (and interest in coin collecting in general) will widen further in 2018, and beyond.

In 2018, I predict that the OP will learn the difference between predication and prediction.
