question on scammer on this site

jwittenjwitten Posts: 5,077 ✭✭✭✭✭

Awhile back there was a thread about a scammer on this site, and a warning that he was now on cointalk, without them banning him. Does anyone remember who it was, or what his name was over there?

I know but it’s way too easy to figure out so pour a cocktail or crack a soda and go to work for about 3 or 4 mins while you sip on that baby ;)

Wow. I guess I dodged a bullet on this one. I posted a colonial on Coin Talk in response to someone else's thread and the next day I received a PM from planman2014 who was interested in buying the colonial that I posted. He gave me his phone number, said his name was Hunter Smith and asked me to call him. We talked a while about my colonial and he was interested in buying it if I wanted to sell. I told him I'd think about it but the following day I told him via email that I decided to keep the coin. He never responded to that email and I haven't heard from him since.

What is the scam that he runs?

Never mind, I found the original thread. No reason to open old wounds.
