Trust is an amazing feeling...

I've been speaking with @AllCoinsRule and he sent me 4 dimes to look at that he's looking to sell. I asked him to send them to me to look at and I would pick out what I wanted and send him back the rest with some cash. Well I got the dimes the day after Christmas, liked the 2 Mercury Dimes, and have already packaged up everything else to send back tomorrow.

It's a great thing to have established such trust and friendship here on the boards to where he would send me 4 dimes w/o a thought of not ever being compensated for them. Dimeman has done the same thing also in the past along with Onlyroosies.

I'm sure some here have similar stories of looking before you buy from across the country.

Thanks for the 2 mercs Jaime, I appreciate it.

Later, Paul.

I've experienced this type of deal in the past as well. The feeling of trust is neater than the coins on some level and brings fond memories whenever I view the coins.

Trust is huge. One learns whom to trust and whom to not trust over time. Good to hear you have discovered a good group of dimers.

I will never forget my local dealer, Bob Auger, who gave my wife 2 gold coins for my approval when I got mono.

    He was a cool guy.

When I opened the shop, I was amazed and happy that the coin dealer fraternity was such a cooperative bunch.

Back in the early days of this site, I contacted Mark Feld about a coin he had. It was about $1000. He said he would just send it to me to see if I liked it. I ask if he was crazy. He knew nothing about me. Great feeling to have someone trust you that much.

I have sent coins for review without receiving payment on several occasions to a few of our members.
All coins were purchased without a hitch.

Just a week or so before Christmas I sent a USPS money order to a dealer via Priority mail. I expressed to the dealer I was hoping I'd have the coin before the holiday arrived. He said he would send it the moment payment arrived. Tracking showed my Priority envelope was stuck in the holiday shipping madness & I let him know simply to make him aware, but didn't expect what he did next.....

He sent the coin before payment arrived and it arrived on time! I'm not mentioning his name in case he might not want that, but my point is that as the OP says, YES, trust is an amazing feeling! I no longer look at him as just a coin dealer, I consider him a friend.

Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.
