Count me in and thank you for the opportunity Kathy! Merry Christmas to you and your family and hope everyone has a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Hi Kathy.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you also.
I have made some good friends here through the years and would have a hard
time singling one out.
Just wanted to say that I am glad you participate here.
This is my second post and it's about the person that I would like to mention that I like to hear what he has to say as he seems to give his opinion on just about every post that is made and is very honest in what he says and that is RickO...I look forward to hear what he has to say on just about every post he responds too because I know he is going to give pretty much a short, to the point and honest answer. I have learned a few things from him in the short time I have been a member by what he has to say in the past and he is a long time numismatist that has a lot of knowledge to learn from. There are A LOT OF OTHERS that I could have mentioned too and I do appreciate all of them as well because I learn a lot from just about everyone here that has something to say in one way or another and I have been a collector/seller myself for about 30 years but still learn something new just about every day from someone on here. Again, thank you for the opportunity for a chance to win a coin or set of coins Kathy. Hope you, your family and everyone that is a member that comes here has a Very Nice Christmas and a Very Happy New Year!

Hey, make a New Years resolution. You have been a member for awhile now, so this coming year let's read more from you!!
There are so many forum members I would like to compliment, but as I'm only allowed one, I would select Joe Best(crazyhounddog). Besides he has the most beautiful Buffs around, plus being a super nice friend.

Well as I like a lot of members on here, I have to send my respects out to Bill Jones. If it wasn't for him and his knowledge, I wouldn't have a coin that I've wanted for years.
Count me in also please. I was holding back due to the fact that I won a giveaway very recently through the generosity of @insider2, but I would feel bad if I didn't say something nice about someone, so here goes: When it comes to posts that make me pull out my thesaurus, or check Wikipedia, or even try to find Uranustan in Google earth it always seems to be @ColonelJessup. I would have to say the humor aspect is what I find interesting. He challenges me to think. Since my quest here is to tell all of why I like a certain member of our group and what they've done to contribute to my learning or enjoyment of coin collecting; it's simply that he's just one of so many here that add to and make up the larger picture of why this hobby is so enjoyable to me. Happy Hanukkah, Merry Christmas, and Seasons Greetings to all!
As far as kudos to a forumite, it would be 1630Boston. They had won the Peace Dollar lamination prize from the recent Insider2 contest. They in turn instructed Insider2 to pass along the coin to me. Where it currently resides in my collection, with the proper notation of it's origin. A great gesture, which means more than the actual coin. Very thoughtful.

As far as the prize distribution goes, it is said never to break up a family if it can be avoided. But as a suggestion, how about if the winner of the set would break it up and send on to that person's 4 choices that have contributed the most knowledge to the winner of the set.

For the final entry I'm going to "call out" FredWeinberg. He has shared more numismatic knowledge and stories with me than anyone else by far, and obviously for many others too.
Appreciate all your entries and glad to hear about other members and how the have helped you all. Great stuff. Only 24 hours left and then this will wrap up and we will have a winner.
Not a tremendously important coin, but this came in a lot of junk silver I got on eBay many years ago. It fascinated me then and was a factor in getting back to collecting after a 25 year absence.
As for the most influential people.... well, there are too many to mention. Maybe a tribute to Bear would be in order. He was a voice of decency and kindness in a world that could use more of both. Also, we could use more jelly donuts.

I guess I'll go for third base. My favorite raw coin would have to be this 2005 $5 gold eagle that my late wife purchased for me.

To refer to a record that came out in 1965 by Gary Lewis (Jerry's son) and the Playboys "Count Me In". Thanks for the contest.
I've yet to have a command on coin photography, but if I could post a pix it would be of any laminated coinage.

Count me in. This is a cool giveaway!
I don't have any raw coins anymore but I will go ahead and post a photo of one that I used to own.

For the final entry I'm going to "call out" FredWeinberg. He has shared more numismatic knowledge and stories with me than anyone else by far, and obviously for many others too.
