Struck through early/mid-stage die cap.
I'd say mid-state to late mid-state.

Likely struck by a mid/late stage capped die, the fact that you can read some of the legends tells me the cap was quite thin. Probably worth checking that the weight is in spec, I’m looking at this on a smart phone but there’s a small chance this could be PMD due to acid.

Incomplete planchets wanted, especially Lincoln Cents & type coins.

grease filled die???? Maybe yes maybe no.
I LOVE old coins.
Looks like a "struck through" error. Not a cap.
Struck through early/mid-stage die cap.
I'd like to "nice find" but it is kind of scary.
I'd say mid-state to late mid-state.
@SanctionII .... Interesting find.... Where did you find this one? I would keep that in my 'education' folder.... Cheers, RickO
