Boeing Coin Show - Jan 20, 21

Dave99BDave99B Posts: 8,913 ✭✭✭✭✭

Who's going ???

Missed last year for the first time in many years...can't recall exactly why. Definitely going this year.

There was a time when we had 4 or 5 shows a year of this general size in the Seattle area. Not any more. Sad! Dang Internet! :(

Merry Christmas,
Dave

Always looking for original, better date VF20-VF35 Barber quarters and halves, and a quality beer.

I may go...what is the size and quality compared to Tukwila? The Everett show was more of a swap meet than a coin show last time I went, so quit local shows for a while.

The Boeing show was always a 'must' show for me when I lived in Seattle.... Always found something to take home.... I will look forward to show reports on this excellent venue. Cheers, RickO

They are similar in size. Lots of dealers, including some out of state dealers. I always see nice fresh material. Well worth the drive IMO.

    Yes, definitely count me in.

This show has always been enjoyable. The mix of club members and dealers makes for a good time. It is worth the drive for me

I'll be going - this will be my first. I've been to Tukwila a couple of times so it will be nice to go to another local show.

The Boeing/Kent (January) and PNNA/Tukwila (March-April) shows are definitely the cream of the PNW coin show crop. I will definitely be there. Looking very unlikely there will be a ghost town on the Sunday bourse, too, unlike a few years in the recent past, with the chances of the Seahawks playing in the NFC Championship game < 1% ;).

I hope to go. I should be able to go.
Someone has to try to beat Seattleslammer to the cool coins and Lakesammman to the cool plastic :)

And, Dave99b, you suck as you never stop by and say hi to us on the bourse floors :pensive:
(joking, of course...you should still introduce yourself though...I still have the dime rolls I bought from you years ago ;) )

I admit, I do suck (obviously), but I DID meet you at either the Kent, or Tukwila show, about 8-10 years ago. I believe you were there with your young son. You actually introduced me to RickO as well, who was also there. So there! :)

You going on Saturday the 20th?

    I'm there right now.
Maybe I'm just too picky nowadaays.......nothing here at the show excites me

1 doily, marked high as "rare", one green labeled Kennedy sample, pigs, tons of Morgan's and many overpriced common coins.

No colonial I am after, none of the half cents fit my need, bit at least there are some at this show.

Show seems pretty subdued other than the sparsely populated Zumba class across the hallway....... the gal running it is shouting "woo!" Every 3 to 5 seconds....

Good to see you Lakes and Slammer

Other than plugging a few holes in my Walker circ Dansco nothing there today.

I almost grabbed a raw Cal gold fractional but thought better of it

I found the woman screaming in the Zumba class annoying. Hard to describe the sound she was making.

I thought 'Are you teaching a class, or giving birth to 12lb twins'? Of course, I had to peek in....was not impressed.

I tried to tune her out, but it was impossible. ;)

Didn't find much myself, but just for fun did pick up a mid-60s Central American coinage reference book for $3.

Had a great time - spent a lot of time at West Coast Coins enjoying the coins and chatting with Revick.

It was nice to see Bochiman, SeattleSlammer and SwampBoy. Sorry I missed the rest of the forum.

Wasn't able to consummate a deal with Swampboy but we'll keep in touch.

Finally paid off Bochiman for a debt over 1 year old since the IT genius doesn't accept electronic payments. :D

Almost pulled the trigger on a couple other coins but Coinfacts.com helped me realize I was paying full retail! (Shameless plug for PCGS.....).

Sorry the rest of you missed the show. See you at the Thrilla in Tukwilla later this spring!!

As Lakes mentioned, Revick did have a lot of nice coins. So did J. Sego and Mike Greenwood...including a mind blowing 67+ neon rainbow toned Merc. ....All the eye candy priced accordingly high as you’d expect.
