OGH PCGS $10 Indian newp

ashelandasheland Posts: 23,804 ✭✭✭✭✭

I just got this today. I think it’s a nice type example. It has some really nice luster and the scratches on the obverse is probably what kept it from being graded higher.

Was this a good buy for $750?

I found this interesting, the T one the reverse is doubled. Has anyone seen this?

Good price for a very popular tenner.

The coin seems to have some character as opposed to overdipped bright yellow surfaces. Nicer than most of what is out there in 63 holders.

I really like the way MS66 Indian eagles look and I really like the price of AU58s. This coin seems like a nice place for these two ideas to meet.

I like it at that price... nice color, too... bonus!

Nice gold piece and a good price..... The T looks like machine doubling in that picture....The reverse looks really nice.... Cheers, RickO

Too cheap; curious where you got it?

    The 26 & 32 Philly's come mighty baggy.

Yours looks nice for the grade and the price seems kinda stupid...

No sticker, surface contamination. Still a cool coin for the right price.

$10 Indians are one of my personal favorite designs. Based on the pics, the coin looks to me to have really nice orangey gold color, which I really like. While the lines in the obverse fields are a bit distracting, they don't appear out of line with the 63 grade. Unless there's something not evident in the picture, I think I'd be real happy with that coin for $750.

I really like it. It's a cool coin and nice old slab.

I like that year as well.

I too like the orange color. Definitely not dipped or cleaned, just original.
Thanks everybody for the compliments. :)

Very nice coin congrats! I actually just got my first $10 Indian in the mail yesterday, also a 1932.

$750 is currently the wholesale buy so you definitely did well. You could sell a beat up P/N63 for that price.

Yes, nice coin. I have a nice one, and could use another (when funds permit).

This 1932 coin pretty much represents the end of traditional U.S. gold coinage for most collectors.

    @PhilLynott Excellent!!!
@JJM I like that one too! Looks a lot like mine.. :)

@BillDugan1959 I agree, I like the 1932, although common just for that reason. These were among some of the last gold coins released for circulation and I believe mine was promptly tucked away when it was released.
