Silver

With silver at $15.90ish/oz now and the economy steaming along very well especially it the new tax bill passes. Should one start buying now or wait till it drops further? Assuming it will?
I'm tempted, how about you?

It's impossible to predict, so I usually buy if the price is right and use dollar cost averaging in my calculations !!!
It is pure speculation. Move ahead with caution.
It is all speculation... buy some, wait a bit.... if it goes back up, sell a little.... if it goes down further, buy a little more.... No guarantees.... Cheers, RickO
Ooops I put this in the wrong forum.
$15.79/oz now. I think I'll hit the bank and beef up the checking account a bit and buy 20-30 oz monday?
I had a giveaway 10 years ago. An ounce of silver to whomever could guess the day silver hit $15. That was as high as it was since 1973, and up until the Hunt Bros/U.S. Govt fiasco around 1980, I'd say we are about near the floor. Except, it can always go lower. How low will it go ?

Tried to get this one for $15 today.
The seller looked over the top of his glasses, before laughing.

I hope it goes back to $4-$5 like back in the mid/late 80s?
$14 is floor.
Who knows where it'll go next but eventually it will be everyone's darling again.
Hasn't been this low since July, and January before that. I might have to pick some up as well, that is, if my local shop has any left.

Order online by phone. Most places will accept personal check if you mail ASAP. The over spot prices are less than coin shops at least around here.

It will go up.
Or it will go down.
Or stay the same

$8.50 is the floor.

There is obviously no theoretical floor, but practically speaking it would be hard for the price to fall too much below the cost of production, which is between $9 and $15 depending on the company and mine.
I think it's a good time to buy. If it drops, buy more!

It's a good day to use JmBullion's intro offer
I think it'll drop quite a bit more. I'm perched and ready
$15 is floor in the near term I think
I just mailed a check for JM Bullions intro offer of 10oz at spot $15.81 with free shipping.
Some say higher and some lower, that's how the market is made! With all the paper and digital money in the world right now, the smart bet is much higher silver, gold and real assets. Of course, it could slip lower before it shoots higher...
Cost Average, but get in the game!
(Sorry about all the platitudes, I'm old.)
I just want one cent for everyone who loses money, time, and sleep with silver.
Honestly, when Coin people ARE making money in silver and junk silver coin, it fuels A LOT of spending on numismatic stuff.
That happened IN SPADES in 1980.
We sold more stuff than we could even keep track of.

Where are the Hunt brothers when you need them. Silver has been stagnant for a long time.

(To answer a rhetorical question) Nelson Bunker and Lamar are deceased. William Herbert is still living.
Silver made a darn fine run up for a few years up until 2011. Nothing like 1979-1980, however, especially in real/ inflation-adjusted terms.
I loved silver when i was young and just starting earning money from work, before i had access to stocks, real estate, small business opportunities, and other forns of capital preservation, growth, and diversification. Even early on, i realized how bulky and bland, the raw metal gets as bullion, so once i had more silver than i could barely carry alone in one trip, i invested new metal money in gold and rare silver coins.
It didn't hurt that i accumulated my first silver in 1974 by inheritance of a small bag of junk, and plowed almost all my chore and holiday money into silver 1975_79, sold most above $30, and bought neat type coins, which tidy shoe box i put away during high school and college 1982_1990.
Bought silver and gold heavily again 1995_2001, this time with stock profits, sold much of that bullion 2008_2012, bought nicer, older type coins to put away.
Have been accumulating bullion again, when i see something neat and scarce for close to melt, have more than i can move again, please silver and gold, can i get one more mania, in the next few good years i have left?

much later than that. It was in the 5's as late as 2001
Coin market will take a huge hit if silver drops to $4.
