Not worth anything, but nice XF/AU and a much harder date to find in circulation.

That's a rather nice coin to find in circulation nowadays!

Probably from a collection that was broken up and spent when the collector passed away.

Way to go! More interesting to me, in that condition, than finding a well circulated war nickel.

Nice find... nickels seem to wear well, and if stuck in a change jar or sock drawer, they can be surprisingly nice...Cheers, RickO

Once in a blue moon I find a coin like that in a box of nickels. They look so new I almost miss them, thinking they are much newer.

1938 was never an easy date to find, and I go back to the late 60s/early 70s looking through change.

1938 nickels were always a lot scarcer than the 1939 in circulation.

That coin looks like it's been sitting somewhere since WW2.
