I can see something under the 42 but because I don't study dimes I have no idea what I'm seeing. What's it?

Cool. I was thinking the 1919 DDO as well.

Before the pics loaded, and all I read was "Guessing AU 50ish" I was telling myself - YES... a new 1919 DDO Top Pop worth probably about $15k...
I'm almost ashamed to admit I was disappointed when it was "just" a roughly 1k 42/41 lol.
But... hell of a find in an album for sure, congrats! (Now go find us an AU 1919 DDO) 8-)

Lol, I was hoping for a 1919 DDO as well. Still a great find, congrats!
Not really looking for much these days but if I were, it might be a toner.
I was thinking you should have started cleaning up sooner. 1942 D 42/41. Nice.
On that note, today a fella came in to the shop and wanted to look around. I had to move all sorts of junk out of his way. He never bought anything, but did say he had a business minting his own coins. Surprised, (as I've been looking for someone to make me some store/ merchant tokens) I asked him what his company is. He answered "Moonlight Mint". I responded with "B.S..... you're not Dann Carr"... He says, " I sure am".
And here, I wasn't even going to open the shop, today.
Practice makes perfect & nobody is perfect. So, practice being nobody and be perfect !

Awesome find.
Very nice find.
Hoard the keys.
AWESOME FIND!
Great !
Back during the first boom, 1979, I didn't get dinner until 1 or 2 am. I was busy on the floor of the shop louping the '42 Mercs.......I never did find an overdate, but others did, quite often.
Why can't I ever find something that cool when cleaning up my coin stuff?
Great find
Sweet !!!
Great find..... I know I do not have one of those hiding in my 'accumulation'....I have examined all my '42 Mercs in detail..... hmmmmm.... well, no harm in doing it again....(hope springs eternal....)
Cheers, RickO
Very nice!!
