TREATS OF THE SEASON

The US Mint just mailed out their Holiday Gift Guide, just got mine a few days ago. It's a 28 page catalog with lots of coin shots of this years offerings, even including a couple Eagles from 2016 and some Presidential Sets from 2015 !!!! Prices are included with asterisks, unless it's gold, those prices are subject to market fluctuations. Even the EU set is shown as a gift option but remains unavailable on the website. They really dressed up the catalog with holiday cheer, cookies, cake, cranberries, and candy canes. Everything is so upbeat with celebration, anniversary collections, and showcases of 2017....with a big warning in the middle of the catalog.....LAST CHANCE to complete your collection before they go off sale FOREVER!!!! Forever! Another note, on the back cover, the mint announces that MAIL ORDER is a thing of the past! Only phone or web orders are used now. Goodbye snail mail. I guess the Pony Express is out of the question.

LOL, mine went straight in the trash. I stopped looking at the US mint catalogues that come in the mail or in my e-mail after they started selling out in 2 minutes after opening up a major sale...then mostly to dealers who charge an exorbitant amount more than they bought them from the mint for. The joys of being a collector in America!

I always enjoy looking through the catalog... usually nice pictures.... I do not recall ever buying something from the catalog though.... Cheers, RickO

My Wife even left it out for me to look at, lol. The Buffalo and 4 piece proof gold sets are nice.
