This is a smoking Black Friday deal!! If I thought he would deliver I would buy it now without hesitation. But I see too many red flags... like he would grab my money and run.
For those in the know of Ebay workings, what are your thoughts about this auction? Think it is a scam? How do you think it would it play out if I purchased it?

No returns if you must ask pass. Anyone from Lakewood NJ here?

A $2,000 coin for $300. Returns is not my concern with this listing. Getting the pictured coin after payment is.
That was my point. If it was such a bargain No one would say No return the coin would be a keeper at that price. Why not 1800. But 12-25% what does the seller gain by pulling you in. Name contact. Not for 1,500 come on.

No feedback, no returns, and a $2,000.00 coin for $300.00 my next thought would be where he stole the picture from?
Exactly! Is there protections in place so he cannot profit from scams? Or is it possible for a seller such as this to grab the money out of PayPal and abandon the accounts without any recourse from Ebay?
Looks and smells very scammy (1 feedback???) and it looks like someone bit it too. Images look stolen from Heritage and cropped.

It's gone. I procrastinated too long and lost my chance to bid!
It would be interesting to see how it all plays out.
Your link shows it was sold. Here is another he has for sale. I could of been one of those dumb idiots fooled cause I dont have the knowledge. With his minimal past of only 1 sale I would of caught that and stayed away. Of course that coin was in a PCGS case so then he managed to crack it and replace it with a counterfeit coin then? But my book came in on counterfiet coins for me to read, but looks like he 2 coins for sale. Of course my limit stops at $50.00 for those exotic coins anyways cause I am cheap.

Does it count if I lived there 45 years ago?
100% feedback. What can go wrong
I know it. I was tempted!
What a coincidence! Pinnacle has the exact same coin for sale, even the exact same pictures. Imagine that. Buyer got a good(?) deal, Pinnacle has it for $1400 higher price. Thats of course if the buyer gets anything.
Not sure how to post an ebay link.

Seller has been reported to E-bay through an actual phone call with a rep and their fraud department.
Appeals to buyers larcenous instincts. Bad for the hobby, and genuine numismatic interests. No real feedbacks, I hope he doesn't get access to the money for the fake listing.
I wonder if buyer will get something like this

Gone now.... but reading the posts above, I feel that it was not a forum member that bought it... such a shame... Cheers, RickO
