There was 3 other dealers looking at stuff and the owner came to me with them and ask you want them for $350 I said done. I wonder what the other guys offered?

What was the pricing based on? How close to gem were the Mercs. and are they fb?

I think you made a good deal.
Looks like some care went in to the selection of these coins. Looks like plenty of upside and limited downside.
Obviously the other three dealers were less than $350
Bryce hit it on the mark. After grading the quarters will pay for the deal even with disappointing grades. Everything else is cake
Even those captial holders will bring a few twenties after fees and if you hit a better FB or grade proof (don’t see any cameos) and you are in the money

Yes I thought it was a good deal when he said $350 I just said deal, then he pulled some other stuff out. A box of silver Canadian Proof set's 37 set's in all, Yes I bought them for $500 and 3 stock box's of 200+ mixed coins all U.S took them as well 10 proof eagles @20 ea some flat pack's @ $13 ea and some UNC Walkers 1941's at $12Ea. He said stop by next week and I'll have some more stuff.
Some are FB some are not. but all UNC and all the Quarters are PR I think only two will Cam.

I've always thought they look so cool when they are uncirculated/proof with the black holder. Nice pickups.
The 1950 quarter could be the money coin if it is CAM, which it appears to have a shot, from the front anyway.
You'd have to do your due diligence before submitting those coins, with a $25 or so cost for certification, shipping etc., unless the 1950s proof quarters grade well it isn't worth submitting, hard to tell from the pics.. On the late date Mercury dimes you would have to get around gem an above fb to be worth the grading costs.
There appears to be great potential there..... from the pictures, they appear to be uncirc and well selected. As you go through them, let us know 'the rest of the story'.....Cheers, RickO
A good deal? I don't know. Grading costs and other costs related to selling may eat up a great deal of the potential profit. In addition, it will take time to market them if the sets are broken up.

Yes I think they will stay raw and kept in the capital holders they look nice. As for grades MS64/65/66 so to me I'll just enjoy them how they are. Thank you all for looking and keeping me in order, you know how it is when we get something new and want to immediately grade it with out thinking of cost. But this board will keep you in order so you can make the most of it if and when you sell them.....

Can you take better photos of the 1950-1954 quarters?
You would need a wide angle camera to see all of Type2's stash at once.
Let me see what I can do. I put them up but will pull them out again.
