"D"arkside Update - Southern Gold Images From Baltimore Show

As some requested, here are the pics of the 1860-D HE I picked up at the Baltimore show. Todd @BluCC did a great job of capturing the coin as it looks in hand. I also included the 1846-C HE images Todd took. This is one of my favorite dates in the Charlotte series (both HE & QE). Mintages were quite low (12,995 for the HE) due to a fire that broke out in late 1844 that kept the mint out of operation for all of 1845 and most of 1846. I think the '46-C is actually more elusive than the heralded 1842-C Small Date HE, or perhaps the majority are being held in tight collections. While they do come available every now & then, in contrast, you can find a quantity of the '42-C HE Small Dates at any given time.
