Wow... any details? Several dealers? Cheers, RickO
Inside of the jacket lined with Rolex's??
Appears to be the same jacket in both pics. Where does this guy live?
I remember this jokester. We ousted him from the IG community well over a year ago for being no good rotten .... Kid was good for nothing. Looks like he's still up to his old tricks!
So was he actually stopped by police and arrested, or was it just that folks were able to determine he stole the coins?
Cut off Self EDIT
Sorry, my heritage is showing. I guess it is a genetic thing that I cannot always control.
It felt good to write though. Now I feel much better.
Or PCGS and NGC slabs.
I hope they catch him and recover the coins, that's a huge loss to about anyone (anyone I know)
)
Sometimes surprised ,., dealers I have seen at shows have extra people helping .. ...watch their coins , inventory like a hawk ...my dealer friend always has at least 2 people at his table
A coin did get stolen by get this a 14 or 15 year old. He sold it to a major dealer. He took the check and bought two watches. He stole a 3rd watch while buying the watches. Some one does have his real name an address. They said he came to the show w/his father and grand pa. Makes you wonder if he was put up to it
No word if he did get arrested. Kid was dressed well and a few dealer said he knew his coins
I did not know anything about him being with relatives?
Just adds even more questions?
Thanks for the heads-up !!!
So what exactly happened or what specialist said is it?
What is the IG community?
I understand why the above post was redacted, but I wish some of the information could have been retained.
NOT a promising start to a young life, though I wonder how much of his behavior was truly his vs. the adults. Even an online persona too.
Instagram Coin Community. It's the largest online platform (quite possibly the largest platform whatsoever for YN's) for YN coin collecting/ coin collecting and dealing in a more personal manner. It's a bit hard to explain. Coin dealing on Instagram, in Lamen's Terms.
Well... I asked for more information right after the OP.... now people seem to know something, but facts are still not available....and/or 'redacted'... Is there a reason no one is posting the details?? Cheers, RickO
Posting of personal information/libelous information is cause for ban by the Mods here, apparently.
Thanks! All I could think of was Italian Greyhound--my age and biases are showing. But I've heard of the Instagram angle before, just couldn't connect the IG dots.
after years and years in the military
IG means inspector general!
@boyernumismatics.... I was not looking for personal or libelous information.... Just facts about the incident(s).... Many cases have been detailed here before and information can be used to guard against future transgressions. Cheers, RickO
