Picked this up recently, was much much darker when I got it, but with some soaking the details came up nicely. Is this a know artist? Where the date would have been, inscribed is something that is hard for me to make out. Im not very good at "seeing things".

    I vote ABIE

On it's own, what I think is a B could be an E, but that letter is very different from the other letter that I am pretty sure is an E. Sometimes I have to decipher old documents and such and that is a method that I find useful - once you nail down some letters/words, it helps to rule in/out others.

That would be ABIE ... and although I am not an expert, you may have one of the old, original hobo nickels. Check with the hobo guys.... Where did you find this one? Cheers, RickO

Came in a junk drawer collection. Also with this was a set of love tokens Seated Dime and Quarter with same pattern and initials. Sadly the pins had been clipped off the back. I may look for someone to add new ones.

Looks like an older carving to me, but I'm no expert as I only bought my first Hobo Nickel a few weeks ago.

ABIE is what I think it is.

The bitterness of "Poor Quality" is remembered long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.

Im pretty positive is a vintage piece, based on the layers of patina and the date/mm used.

You shouldn't post things like that in the middle of my work day. Hard enough not to get distracted from all the coins around me.

that is a Vintage coin not a modern. you can get it checked for cheap. Send it to the Original Hobo coin society and they will authenticate it for you.
