    It'd be a waste of time. Take a look at the rims at 12 o'clock both sides, not copper color.

    I remember oh so well roll searching in the early 70's. Came across an alledged 43 "copper". Couldn't wait to find the magnet to do the test. Only to have my hopes dashed. Plated.

    What, you use tape on the refrigerator? NO MAGNET??? really? All refrigerators have magnets on the doors to hold up all sorts of kids stuff, appointment stuff, calendar stuff, recipe stuff, etc etc.

    I personally plated over a dozen 1943 steelies and put them back into circulation after "aging" them a bit. I had a roll of them that were in tough shape. This was back in the 70's.

    Did it more as a prank than anything.

    You should have sprinkled a few of them on the floor at a major coin show and grabbed some popcorn. >:):)
