    Die chip.

    A 'cud' must include the rim

    They nailed it.

    Die Chips (which this coin has two in the date)
    are not Cud Die Breaks.

    Look for a Die Chip in the word Liberty for
    wheat cents in the '50's - you'll find plenty
    of them, especially on 1957-D's.

    They're very common, still easily found in
    any group of wheat reverse cents.

    Good eye to spot in in your collection !

    I also have seen many on the wheat ears on the reverse from the 40s and 50s.

    Also just noticed the doubling on the letter BERT, in LIBERTY.

    that's common ejection or mechanical doubling.
