Are the serial numbers worth collecting?

I'm wanting to get into paper money collecting but don't know really where to start then the serial numbers on this bill seem kind of cool so what is your guy's opinion

I've made a game of trying to find the lowest serial number I can "in the wild" but kind of gave up when my pal found a $1 with the serial
number of 81. And I thought 16007 was low.
If the last two digits were flipped around it would have been Quad doubles LOL that would have been pretty neat I still think it's a neat number
Post over on the currency forum.......they might have some better info.
bob:)
PS: pretty minor number set.
I like it !!!
I doubt if a number like that would bring any premium.

Not a number that will excite collectors, but interesting. Check the currency forum, they can help you in your pursuit of currency. That one would not even be good for liars poker.....

If you save every $1, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100 that has an interesting serial number and that you _can afford _to put back, I guarantee you'll be glad you did one year from now! They may be only worth face value, but they will be available to look at instead of having been spent.
What is "worth collecting" is up to you. The only downside you have to collecting serial numbers out of circulation is inflation. Would a currency guy pay a premium for the number you show in the OP? No.
