Have several of the individual Cheerios cents, plus one with the dollar in the original two-coin holder.
Also have one of those original boxes.

I have a couple. Always wondered how the reverse looks. I think the card is laminated, in which case it is resting on plastic and not cardboard.
IIRC, these were minted in late 1999 so as to be ready for the Cheerios promotion in early 2000 (is that true??), in which case the Cheerios cents have that going for them.

IIRC (and that's a stretch these days), they were available in 1999, which meant you could get the 2000 coin before they were legal. I believe there were even wide "AM" examples found, but since almost all Cheerios cents are obverse up...
Anyway, I came across our host's article about it, dated January 7, 2000:
I have between 12 and 20 most still in the card. I got the dumb idea to see if the Cheerio Cents were somehow different (Cheerio $) and removed a few. So far, no luck.
I have 4 they were connected ..I like a dummy pulled them apart. If you have them connected you can bet where I got them from... Inside job... LOL... The guard would steal the dollars before they went into the boxes. they had a guard watching them so nobody would steal the dollars .. Who was watching the guards.

I see I responded 13 years ago that I still had the box of Cheerios'. Since then, I have moved and actually got rid of the cereal.
Still have the cent in the original packaging though.
