  You're seeing either mechanical doubling,
  or what's sometimes called 'split line' doubling,
  where the copper plating has torn away from
  the zinc planchet during the striking process.

  Neither are errors; part of the minting process.

  Not every coin is going to be perfect, when you
  are making billions, and using machinery like
  the Mint uses.

  You are certainly diligent in your cent searching... however, it is not a DD.... Suggestion above will help you considerably if you study real DD's and read the associated comments....Will make your searches easier and faster. Cheers, RickO
