Next week there will be somebody posting the same pictures in reverse order, celebrating their great find, and asking about what the good cards are and if they should be sent in for grading.

I don't think you were being mocked in a traditional sense. Most collectors have a hard time letting go...I think you were being acknowledged and sympathized with.

I too think that was quite bold and kind. There's value in knowing you made someone's day...

I have a bunch of cards that I bought to 'flip' and then couldn't bring myself to sell. I put them in a box labeled 'My Baseball Card Collection.'

I know the feeling. I have donated, composted, thrown out, given away and otherwise disposed of thousands upon thousands of 1988- 1992 baseball cards. I can still find them in my closets, my attic, my basement, my garage and other places. I believe the little buggars are reproducing. The next time I move I am going to make sure these guys don't make the trip with me.
