    Old one is an 8R cob. Cert Verification says dated 1701-1733.
    Date might be partly visible as 1711?

    For a narrowly focused half dime collector like myself the answer is pretty straightforward. My oldest coin is a 1794 half dime (I wish I could say that it was a 1792 half disme, but alas it is not), and my 'newest' coin is an 1873 half dime. I do have a few 'modern' Lincoln cents and Jefferson nickels, but I do not consider them part of the collection

    It's a 1983 silver "Onza" from Mexico. It was one of the first really successful silver bullion one troy ounce coins, beating the Silver American Eagle by a few years. Proofs of these piece were made in very small numbers. This was a recent Heritage win.

    1787 Fugio PCGS F-15 is my oldest, (raw or certified)

    2015 Lincoln Cent PCGS MS-66 is my newest certified, (though I could pull out some pocket change if you'd like). Gotta have that new "shield reverse"!!

    Well, I was trying to go for the over and the under on this hand, but I can't beat Lydian gold.


    The Ancient Egypt - Ptolemy II or Ptolemy III (285 to 246 B.C. or slightly later), AE, 46.9mm, 73.3 grams. Obv, Head of Zeus Ammon, dotted border; rev, Eagle on thunderbolt, looking back, wings open, dotted border. Obv. Cracks, edge a bit porous. This coin comes nicer, but this is a large specimen. These photos are more red/yellow than actual coin.

    U.S.A. ATB Quarter Dollar, 2017, Frederick Douglas homestead, Cu-Ni, 24.3 mm, 5.67 grams. I received this coin in change at the doughnut shop today, 09/27/2017

    Since I restarted collecting about 3 years ago, this is the first I added to my "permanent" collection.

    Last newp I imaged was this 42-S walker I bought raw. Not many of these you can see where the thumb and forefinger separate.

    MS66 taste on an MS63 budget.
