GTG. 1876-CC Seated Dime. Grade Revealed. New photos added!

Curious of your thoughts on my new 1876-CC Seated Dime. Any help with DDR attribution would be greatly appreciated.
The photos do not show it but the coin is dripping with luster.

66.
Looks like the die was pitted from rust maybe? Gorgeous dime!
Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.
One funky obverse there......
MS63?
bob
Not a fan of the obverse. Maybe 62.
Rusted obv. die (not coin's fault) will cause TPGs to hammer it.
Not right, but it's how it is.......63/4 tops IMO.
Nice looking coin, I'm going to guess a 63
Very weak strike. MS62.
63
Obverse strike mushy. It's either 58 or 63 from those pic's, but a cool "cc" mint coin non the less
58
I would guess 63.....nice reverse die cracks.... Cheers, RickO
pictures are just too hard to grade. it looks like it has obverse rub that would tell me AU55-58 but if that's strike weakness then it could be MS63-64.
My first instincts was that it's a 63.

I see what appears to be a "rub" on her right thigh...AU58

No one has guessed the grade yet.
How about AU-55 ?
I think people are a bit harsh on their grading estimates, this coin is nice (even though it's not fully struck due to minting issues). I had a coin similar to this, but even worse mint issue, yet it was like this coin super choice in luster and it graded MS64+.
My sense (from images only) is that this coin is a GEM. Images a bit dark/lighting funky, so I'd say it's MS65, or MS65+ if not much field chatter. I don't think they'd put this in a 66 or 67 holder, but I could be wrong. Anything is possible, but for a 66 or better I'd like to see no minting issues.
@mercurydimeguy is correct. PCGS MS65 OGH CAC. The obverse was struck with very a rusted die. A lot of 1876 CC dimes were struck with rusted dies. What the pictures does not show is the full mint bloom with spectacular luster. In hand the coin looks like a lock 66! Here are a couple reference photos of pieces graded 66 with rusty dies. I am going to try to take more photos that capture the luster.
From your first pic I was able to envision exactly what you describe which is why I went with 66. Heck, I'll even stand by that even though PCGS says differently. Yours is better than the ones in the 66 reference pics all day long.

When I saw your guess I knew you get it. It is hard for me to photo silver coins with a lot of flash. I just don't seem to be able to capture the look in the image. The coin is a frosty white with light champagne hues when you rotate it under light.
Technically, on surfaces and luster it should grade MS66. But it is likely netted down a point to account for the rusted die/weaker strike. Nice coin.
Damn, I love the CC mint. Too short but sooo many goodies to collect!!

That is an entirely different picture. If I don' t mind say so myself. PPHhhhhhhhhhhhhtttttttttttt
New photos.

If you would have read the comment you would of seen that the 2 photos were pictures of other coins with rusted dies graded MS66.
"Here are a couple reference photos of pieces graded 66 with rusty dies."
Ohhhhh so sorry. Soldi makes another mistake. PHhhhttt what a guy! Seriously, you're right I didn't read it.
Best of luck with your coin. Sol
Just goes to show ya...I need to stick with lower grade coinage since I can't grade MS worth a darn. The images from three posts up, have a really nice golden tone to them...still outta my reach. Great dime!
