The talk about wheat cent pricing got me itching to sell some......:(
Why bother?
Sold, 1,000 x 3 and 450 x 1. Total is 3,500. Sold price on all four, one week auctions: $75
Started at .99 and let 'er run. Few if any culls, accurately described (I think) and good picture.
Going to be spending the rest...

eBay auctions have been a bloodbath for several years now.
If you don't want to spend them you may want to just put them up for fixed price and hope they sell vs. giving them away.
I'll get more than 2 cents worth of fun spending the rest!

Say it ain't so! How many do you have left?
@AUandAG
I put my 1976 Quarters, copper cents [don't ask] and some other ""collectible coins "" back into circulation...
thousands actually.......................the Quarters are now coming back to me in change
I see all sorts of wheat cent buy and sell offers..............I have a few that I would like to sell but you may be correct about the balance of a few dollars in 'profit or loss' vs the enjoyment of freeing them
Successful transactions with : MICHAELDIXON, Manorcourtman, Bochiman, bolivarshagnasty, AUandAG, onlyroosies, chumley, Weiss, jdimmick, BAJJERFAN, gene1978, TJM965, Smittys, GRANDAM, JTHawaii, mainejoe, softparade, derryb, Ricko
Bad transactions with : nobody to date
That's crazy. How much did you net after shipping, PayPal fees, and eBay final value fees?
My average selling cost: 14.1% (includes all but shipping as that is paid for by buyer). So a net of $64.50 or 1.8 cents each.
Ouch. I would pay 3 cents each. Have any more?
They aren't worth bothering with. I put most of mine back into circulation several years back.
Looks like the auction where they were in beat up paper rolls did the best.
Maybe it's the mystery effect of people wanting see what's inside vs seeing a photo with the cents in a pile.

Originally they were all rolled and I opened them and pulled the culls and then just did not rewrap them....
Oh my
It looks like the paper rolls added 50% to the selling price.
You mIght have to do another test of rolled vs unrolled to prove my theory
I think you are likely right.
I have a gallon jug full of wheaties as well as a large can full of wheat rolls (rolled myself 22 years ago). I have not looked through any of them, though I doubt there is anything special in there. I keep saying I will go through them some cold, snowy winter day..... maybe this year, supposed to be very cold with a lot of snow.
