New Buffs for the herd

Picked these up in a half roll of raw 38D buffs at a local show back in March. Wanted some raw BU buffalo nickels and a dealer had a pleasant, lightly toned group in a roll, but told me they had already been searched for OMM/RPM, toning and gems.
Well, I thought, these are nicely struck and have some really nice, consistent golden toning, and a few have outstanding toning, strike, and almost all looked 64+. I don't know if the dealer hadn't gone through all of them or just hadn't bothered to use a better glass, but these were in the group, including one additional D/D that came back a 64. I did not spot the OMM/RPM until I got home and examined each very carefully, as these came towards the bottom of the stack of 20 coins in the tube:
D/S in 64:
D/D in 66:
D in 66 with toning:
D/D in 65:
Gonna get me a $50 Octagonal someday. Some. Day.

Very nice!
I always liked Buffs. (thumbs up!)
love em again!
I like em all but that toner is off the charts pretty. You bet I like em
ALL super examples. To find great varieties like that is very special.
OINK
Thanks! I was so surprised to find the varieties, as I had been told that the roll was searched. I took the guy's word given it was in a plastic roll with some mailing peanuts on one end. Honestly, I would have been happy just with the solid strikes and toning on a couple of them that I saw before purchase. I knew the toned example seen here was a knockout in eye appeal in my book, and it was the first coin in the stack.

I really like this coin.
Great finds in a 'searched' half roll.... you definitely scored there.... Cheers, RickO
@ricko When I took out my loupe the guy waved me off almost, saying I wasn't going to find anything in there, all the gems/varieties had been picked out. I was totally ok with that given the price he offered and the strike/color quality I could spot with the naked eye.
To find these in there was just a bonus!

Great coins coming out of a "picked over" half roll!
