If you post a WTB on the BST forum, are you more likely to get solid offers or irrelevant junk?

The handful of times I've tried it, I've received no offers.
The BST has been very good to me.... though I have yet to post a WTB, I am considering one. There will always be the potential for some 'less than desirable' offers. I believe it is a great resource - Cheers, RickO
Doesn't much matter where I post, I go largely ignored.

Ignored no more!
It's been a while since I've purchased anything from my WTB post - it got me thinking.......
I have posted a few WTB ads and the ones I did receive a response on I ended up buying. It is interesting though I will post for common circ Columbian halves and receive no responses, but when I post for a PR55 seated half I can find one when the population is only two.
The majority of the time I don't get any responses.
I have posted a few WTBs over the years. I don't always get a reply, but when I do, the majority have been bona-fide offers. I have purchased a number of them and some of the WTBs have gotten responses many months after the post (long after I had given up!).

Not sure about the BST but I always thought threads that started with "post a picture of ________" was basically someone looking to see what you have and then try to buy it via PM if it was interesting or nice. Or folks sort of marketing or trying to get a feel for worth. That's why I never post pictures of coins in those threads.
I guess it never hurts to ask though, on another chat site I frequent, folks will show an item they are willing or looking to trade for X and that sort of starts a ball rolling. Deals can be made and sometimes cash used to level the trade.
If I see a WTB post, I open it to see if I have something that might fill the slot. I only respond if there is something appropriate that I want to sell (that also meets the $ requirements that may have been posted). I also usually respond via pm, and without pics. If the buyer is interested in my text, then pics follow (I don't want to spend unnecessary time on photos). I also typically don't respond to WTB adds that are like "WTB junk silver at or below spot" etc, as I'd like to buy them there too.
