Who is investigating the planchet type? Since it was not noted, it would seem you need another source to identify which one it may be. The weight should be a good starting point. Cheers, RickO
It may be a planchet for 10 cent Netherlands coin. I think they were being struck about the same time at the US mint in Denver. Very good find.
How did they know the fineness of the silver - is that test part of the process or an off-metal coin? (I know you can pay extra for it under other circumstances).
