1959 Franklin BS Strike Proof Reverse

I've been looking for a nice one, for sometime now .
High over low relief eagle doubled die reverse ( FS-801 ) .

    That's cool Rick- didn't know about the high/low relief. Just checked mine- I have two type 2's in '59, and a type 1 and type 2 in '58. The '59 that I just purchased in a set has semi-proof like field hence struck from proof dies. Thanks for posting- I'll keep an eye out for the FS-801.

    I occasionally would come across one of these in roll searches in the early 1960's. At the time I thought it was a third variety.

    I see that attributed MS64's are going for $50 and up. Are circulated specimens worth any premium?

    Sure, why not .
    If the price is right, you can make money off of any coin .
