Won it on Aug 2 and paid on Aug 4. Seller claimed that I didn't pay on time. What are my options beside a negative feedback? Thanks.

I don't see any specified terms in listing regarding payment receipt. All you can do is neg and move on.

Oddly enough, though, he left positive feedback for the underbidder who purchased your piece less than two days after your purchase.

Usually, a seller employing a tactic like this to refund payment believes they sold an item for too low a price, but in this case, he actually lost money by choosing to offer a second chance to the underbidder. Puzzling.

Could it be his second account? Btw I paid 10 + hours before the second auction was completed. So this was his plan all along?

He didn't get what he wanted, so he's trying to get you on an asterisk in the conditions of the sale which never existed in the first place.

I am an eBay seller and don't recommend dropping N-bombs, but this seller deserves it.

Thank you. I work three jobs. And one is selling suits on Amazon. I understand the pains as an online seller and would prefer to work it out with other sellers instead of negative when it comes to bumpy transaction .

This lot was paid within 2 days after winning in which was longer than my normal. However , the seller did not contact me until I sent him a message today which is 5 days after I paid.

From what I am seeing, the seller might been shill bidding but set the max lower in hoping of getting more real bets. And or, the seller pre- planned his escape by selling it to his side account with a 6-12 hours? listing on the day I paid.

Note: The winner of the second auction in which he left a + feedback was r***i . But there is no such bidder in the original auction.

In any case, average price for this lot wound be $230? However it is a small change ($70) for anyone to lose sleep over it. More beauties to collect~

It was an unexpected win as I did four digits purchases elsewhere around the same time. I actually had to drop by bank to deposit extra cash to make this purchase.

That is a nasty scam... I believe you have correctly identified the ruse. You should identify the seller here so others can avoid them. Cheers, RickO

It's obvious he didn't think the highest bid was enough. You were bidding against the seller's alternate identity (shill bidder) so when he sold it to the second lowest bidder he sold it to himself. Neg his azz and move on. Also let us know who this seller is.

This is the link to his second auction which ended half day later after I paid. I can't tell when the list was created.

Eby changes encrypted initials for a bidder in the feedback section vs the bidding history.

I am an ebay seller too, and hate recommending negatives, but yes, he deserves one. Whatever you do, do NOT threaten him with a negative (Like saying "you will get a negative if you don't ship", or ebay will remove it.

Yes. I forgot the terminology for such action. But I did help a few sellers on amazon out of bad metric by removing the negative feedback in the same situation from bumpy transactions etc.

Sounds worthy of a neg. Two days to pay is not that long. At the least the seller should have contacted you to ask for payment if they were in such a hurry to get it.

The neg was deserved. Some folks have lives other than watching auctions end on ebay. Auctions don't always end at the time you choose. Sellers on ebay should understand, that unless immediate payment is required with a BIN, there will be times when buyers aren't sitting at their computers with the finger on the PP button.

Call Dann Carr. See if he can make you one.

I am fuzzy on the details. Were there two separate auctions for the same item? I have seen that before - a recipe for disaster. In any case, seller is unscrupulous. Good to know these are in demand, though, as I picked one up from DCARR back in the day. Helps to offset some of my bad "investments" with the US MInt.

But the seller relisted or sold to an questionable account half day later after I paid.

You can "rent" him. From design to production. Coin clubs and other outfits do it all the time. However, the design will be totally unique to the commissioners wants not related to previous projects. Not to mention the fantasy date overstrike dies are totally defaced never to be used again once he's done with them.

For a proof overstrike, the fuzzy photos are a red flag for me. So maybe it's just as well the seller unwound your deal.

But I understand your irritation, especially since "...Daniel Carr only made approximately a small number of these elite coins."

The major difference between Carr's stuff and most "real US coins" is that his stuff tends to go up in price and are easy to sell

And they are a whole lot of fun as an adjunct to collecting "real" coins.

$235 - $260 is the going Price .... in this case buyer should have immediately paid, so not to give seller wiggle room ..That is my experience when getting low ball bids to win
