I will miss Dennis, he was always so happy and positive and a joy to be around! My heart and prayers go out to all his friends and family.
I took this picture of Mike and Dennis H. at Denny's during the 2012 FUN show for my show report.
Did something happen to Dennis too? I must have missed that.

Oh my word....I'm sorry to hear this. Mike had a thread "ATS" that posted his coins...mostly Barbers..and I used to give him a hard time that he'd "bought every Barber coin in existence". It was good fun....now I'm just sad...I never got to meet him at a show unfortunately. This is just awful. My condolences to his family.
I met Mike a few times at various shows as he hung out at Glenn Holosbake's table. Since I knew of him from the boards, he was an easy connection and one with a ready smile. I think what I liked about him the most was his enthusiasm and love of all things Barber. Gosh it saddens to learn of his sudden death. A big loss for our hobby and for our community.

Sorry to hear this news. I remember him selling me a 1920- d quarter in ms 63 at the FUN show and enjoying our interaction at his table. Very nice guy for sure!
Wow, I am just reading this now after being out of town for a week, and I had no clue anything had happened to Mike. What a shocking and sad turn of events. He will indeed be missed.

I wanted to post a few coins that were ex Mike Hayes that I have. We had quite a few dealings between selling and buying between each other, and he was always very friendly and courteous. He will be missed, and my condolences to his family, also very glad to hear ginga and max found a home, he would always mention about walking his fur buddies. Rest in Peace Mike.

A bunch of us used to have breakfast in that Denney's in Orlando every year at the FUN show.
I am sorry to read of his passing.
What a sad and heartbreaking day.
It is, however, so nice to read the stories from his friends.
Healing tributes.

Very shocked and sorry to read this. Only dealt with him once at a show, but obviously loved coins as much as anyone. May he rest in peace.
So sad to hear. I did not know him but admired his knowledge here on the boards. I'll miss his input and wisdom for sure.
RIP Mike. My prayers are with your family and your eternal soul.
Ugh, glad to have known you since I got back to the hobby in 08. Rest easy friend.
Uggh. Sad to hear. RIP Mike.

So sorry to hear this. Rest in peace.
Here's my only Barber (that I know of) in my collection that once belonged to Mike:
It sure would be nice if there was a way to get a pedigree label on all his PCGS coins before they get auctioned off.

Very nice coins. Mike had an eye for nice coins.
Very sad news. Hard to believe when I was told a few days ago.
Wow that stinks. I remember reading his posts often before I took a break from forums. I hope he knew how many people cared about him.
Mike was a great guy, trustworthy and always interested in others. I will miss him.
I always enjoyed reading his posts and looking at some of his awesome Barber material. He was truly one of the good guys. RIP
