Curious as to the opinions on 4 that I have recently sent in. I know some are not high dollar items but I enjoy them/and their varieties.

Thank you for all opinions given. The 1890 is the one I'm really wondering on.

...that's all I got for you...I am really lousy at grading...variety attribution...that's another thing.

Looks like PVC on a couple of those. Hope not for your sake.

    Nice coins!

    My opinion would be:
1857 Flyer--Typical XF40. Traditional weakness in some lettering does not diminish the XF40 breastfeathers
1883 Indian--XF45. A possible shot at AU50 (luster around devices).
1898 Indian--AU53. Luster seems to support this and 4 diamonds helps too.
1890 Indian--AU58. I REALLY do see support for MS62RB, but I just think the cheek/ear/ribbon may have a touch of wear.

But, I am not a grader. I just play one on TV.

  • Thank you for evals/opinions. Been a while since I've submitted. The '98 is def a MPD which is why I'm sending it in. The '83 is also a DDR and the '90 is a TDO which is why they're going. Really hoping for something solid grade wise on the '90. The FE's only going due to needing a 4th coin on the membership cert.

@azrielb24 ......It may be just my old eyes... but where do you see a TDO on the '90?? Cheers, RickO

  • Not the best at drawing the arrows/using an edit but the base on all letters and the tops of "United" show it. The triple can easily be seen under a loop.

I picked up an 1880 IHC the other day; a couple questions, are there any varieties besides the die clash version, the seller had marked it as a dd? http://www.pcgscoinfacts.com/Coin/Detail/37513 Also what is the best way to remove crud and verdigris?

    I'd go with

    35
    50
    53
    58

    All are nice!

Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.
