Am I the only one who likes this Merc?

It has been on ebay as a BIN/best offer for quite some time, and I finally pulled the trigger on a best offer. Its a PCGS MS67 with what I would call great toning. What do you think?

The toning is a little dark for my tastes, but if you like it that's all that matters.
Nice

I like it a lot! I'm just a collector of FB Mercs, so that wouldn't work for my set. Very nice coin none the less.
I thought it was somewhat over priced. This date in 67 just dropped 15 bucks on the PCGS price list. That's 15%. Maybe in the long run it will pay off. I do like it.

I like her...she has a cute dimple also
I like toned coins generally, but this one isn't for me.
i like it. i don't know if you got a good deal or not, but i like the look of it.
I like it, but don't typically pick up toned mercs.

The toning is fine, more positive than negative. I prefer FSB, though.
looks good, and I like it... it would need to be a bit lighter on the tone for me to love it...

Congrats on being happy with your purchase. But for me as a huge Merc Fan, that toning is much too dark for my tastes. More often than not, I avoid anything that has more than likely eaten through the luster layer. For common date Mercs, I would want FB examples with no distracting marks (besides attractive toning).

Great luster but the toning is a little dark for me.
I see it on my searches and liked it. If it had been a variety I would have snapped it up long ago. But I didn't need a 44-S.
Glad to see it got a good home.
Love it!

Crusty edge toning. Like it !
The tone reminds me of this Oregon. Looks real dark in the pic, but in hand its a deep rainbow. Hoping this one looks that way.
I'm sure it will be real pretty in hand.
I actually thought about buying it and selling mine.
Looks very nice, but I would want to see it in hand and see how that toning looks in normal light. The images are amped up for contrast, so this toning may be less strong in reality.
Best, SH
I like her! Synchronized obverse/reverse *burnt red peripheral toning.
*Did I really say burnt red?
I like it!
I like it. It wouldn't surprise me if it had spent some time in an ICG holder labeled "Blast White."
I like it, nice toning, natural, even tho it is dark.
Attractive

That tarnish looks more like rust....
Obviously not for me.... Glad you are happy... Cheers, RickO
I would call that "terminal" tarnish...but as long as you like it...that is what matters.
Kind of odd that it "toned" that way...unless it is a rotated die...medalic alignment?

I like the toning. The reason it sat is not because of the toning. it was because of the price
I got the seller to accept a reasonable offer of $100.
I never heard that expression. Is there a simpler, commonly used term for "terminal" tarnish?
Lovely, original toning; nothing not to like from my standpoint. Clearly worth a premium over a dipped example.
Luv them Mercs!
Dave
Terminal tarnish is when toning turns very dark.

Terminal Tarnish/Toning is not just when the toning has turned dark. It is when it has turned so dark that it seems to have eaten through the layer of luster on a coin, damaging the surface of the coin.

Terminal toning is when the tarnish has basically etched into the surface of the coin. When dipped you can usually see an outline of the old toning.
I like it but it's newer than the trinkets I like to hoard.
"...the tarnish has basically etched into the surface of the coin."
"...it seems to have eaten through the layer of luster on a coin, damaging the surface of the coin."
Then I guess it's possibly corroded or "market acceptable environmental damage." I've seen this before. Pretty coin and I learned some new descriptive words! Guess as long as that "terminal toning" stays on the coin's edge it's OK.
Nice one!
